Dear Members,

The Alliance is delighted to partner with the highly successful SMS4dads campaign, who are now reaching out to dads, parents-to-be and new parents living in rural, regional and remote Australia.

More than 8,000 dads have already participated in SMS4dads with positive feedback, the likes of:

“I really loved these texts. They were so encouraging and full of great advice. My wife loved that I was getting them as well. They always seemed to come at the right time. Thanks for the work you guys do. It really helped me out.”

We are helping SMS4dads to enlist health professionals and people passionate about rural health to support their latest campaign. All dads from across Australia can receive free text messages with evidence-based information and support.

The reason the Alliance has jumped on board is because research shows that dads are hard to reach in parenting education and this is compounded by limited access to rural health services.

If you or someone in your health team, practice or network are interested in supporting this initiative, please email Clare Ross in our Alliance Secretariat on clare.r@ruralhealth.org.au, and we will connect you with the SMS4dads project team.

If a deadline helps, please respond to this request by close of business on Friday 1 October.
