The Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) supports the actions of the Australian Government and Chief Medical Officer Professor Murphy and the New Zealand Government and its Ministry and key staff in protecting the health of Australians and New Zealanders against COVID-19.
RACMA supports the rapid coronavirus contact tracing app – COVIDSafe as a significant public health initiative to help control the spread of COVID-19 in Australia. RACMA notes that Australia has a robust privacy and data management scheme that will protect the privacy of Australians whilst ensuring we have all the tools in place to reduce the risk to Australians from COVID-19.
RACMA encourages its Members and the Australian community to download the app. The COVIDSafe app is part of the Federal Government’s work to slow the spread of coronavirus. It speeds up the process of contacting people exposed to COVID-19, reducing the risk of an outbreak. For more information visit https://www.health.gov.au/resources/apps-and-tools/covidsafe-app
