Information for Health Settings

Please Note: The RACMA Office is closed Tuesday 7 November 2023 due to a Public Holiday in Victoria.

The STP program aims to improve the quality of the future specialist workforce by providing registrars with exposure to a broader range of healthcare settings.  As identified by the Department of Health (Australia), all Colleges have STP Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that require them to fill a specified number of private and rural positions.  STP aims to have a positive influence on future workforce distribution and has three funding streams:

  1. Specialist Training Program (STP)
  2. Integrated Rural Training Pipeline (IRTP)
  3. The Tasmanian Project
