My experience in hospital, government, and non-government organisations, across both metropolitan and rural settings, has equipped me with a deep understanding of the complexities of Medical Administration, aligning closely with RACMA’s mission to promote excellence in this field. I am passionate about fostering innovation, education, and collaboration within our specialty and believe that my strategic vision and leadership skills will contribute to the ongoing success of RACMA. As a Board Director, I will be dedicated to upholding the values of our College, ensuring that we continue to lead in the education and professional development of Medical Administrators.

Previous Governance Experience / Board Appointments:
I have had formal Board governance training and have been a Councillor for the Medical Benevolent Association of NSW-ACT since 2022 and Honorary Secretary since 2023. I am currently the A/Deputy Chief Executive Officer for the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia, with experience in navigating specialist College governance processes and challenges, including board reporting. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I worked as Senior Medical Advisor and member of the executive of the NSW Public Health Response Branch, supporting the NSW Chief Health Officer in key elements of governance, including policy development, risk management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement. I have also been engaged in supporting substantial realignment and strategic planning processes for the NSW Ministry of Health, including the establishment of over 30 FTE new positions for Health Protection NSW following the acute COVID-19 response, and the development of a Public Health Workforce Plan for NSW Health; which will be the first of its kind across Australasia once finalised.
College Related and/or Other Professional Activities (Past and Present):
I have been heavily involved in RACMA Committees since commencing training, including the NSW Jurisdictional Committee, NSW Medical Administration State Training Council, and RACMA Conference Committee. I have also been engaged with both the Leadership for Clinicians and Management for Clinicians programs as a Support Fellow over the last three years. I have represented the College at major events, including the Pride in Medicine: Sydney Pride Festival Committee, and have been engaged in reference and working groups for A Better Culture, Advancing Women in Healthcare Leadership and Medical Workforce Planning. As a Candidate, I supported the establishment of a weekly virtual education series in 2020, which continues to this day as the official NSW jurisdictional training series. I also organised the 2019 and 2020 NSW Medical Administration Workshops, and the 2024 NSW Jurisdictional Committee Education Series. Outside of RACMA, I have been a surveyor and member of the NSW Prevocational Accreditation Committee since 2017, have several university appointments, and am an active member of the NSW Rural Doctors Network.
