- Leadership
A list of university Masters programs approved by RACMA as meeting the requirements of Candidates undertaking the FTP is available HERE.
Candidates commencing in 2025 do not need to complete a full Masters degree to meet the training requirements of the FTP. However, Candidates may choose to complete a full Masters degree at their own discretion.
Applicants for the Fellowship Training Program may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning and Experience for study at Masters level that is comparable to the RACMA core subjects.
Universities
Universities in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand may apply to have a Masters program approved as meeting the requirements of Candidates undertaking the RACMA Fellowship Training Program.
To be approved by RACMA, a Masters program must meet defined criteria to ensure quality and relevance to the outcomes of the RACMA Fellowship Training Program. One of the requirements is that the Masters program includes subjects that correspond to all five of the RACMA core subjects detailed above. Additional information can be found in the University Masters Program Approval Policy and the University Masters Program Approval Procedure.
Applications for the approval of new university programs are now open and will close on the 31st May of each year.
Universities must use the appropriate form when making an application and provide the relevant supporting information e.g. program handbooks, evaluations and subject monitoring reports. Email assessments@racma.edu.au to obtain the application form.
The onus is on the university to satisfy RACMA that it meets the Standards required. Assessments of applications will begin once payment of the application fee has been received.
