I am the current Vice President of RACMA and previous Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee. I have been a Preceptor, Censor and Supervisor at RACMA for many years. I have received the Margaret Tobin Challenge Award and New Fellow Achievement Award from RACMA, and in 2017, RACMA’s Distinguished Fellow Award “for commitment to governance, research and publication, health services improvement through training and mentorship”. If I were to be successfully elected as the new President, I will, as a servant leader, work with the Board, Jurisdictional Committees, Fellows, Associate Fellows, Candidates and the Secretariat to make RACMA the premier professional and training organisation for medical and health leaders in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand, that advocates for a respectful and diverse health culture, and is a leading voice for healthcare reform through transformational change for the health system of the future.
