Applicants are able to apply for acknowledgement of competency development in their practice of medical management that has occurred prior to entry into the Fellowship Training Program.
This experience would traditionally include significant previous experience as a senior manager eg Director of Medical Services, Chief Medical Officer, Head of Department/Unit etc. You would also be required to be currently working at senior management level.
To be considered eligible to be considered for RPLE for MMPD, you must demonstrate your high level competency across all seven competencies listed in the RACMA Medical Leadership and Management Curriculum which can be found HERE. Your application should demonstrate your level of competence against the Dreyfus Model of Skills Acquisition at the Competent, Proficient and Expert skill levels.
The outcome of the RPLE process for the MMPD, if successful, will be reduced time in supervised medical management practice during training.
Applications for RPLE for MMPD are accepted throughout the year with the outcome being applicable to the following academic year in which the FTP is due to commence.
