Murwillumbah District Hospital is a local community hospital established in 1903 providing a range of services including: Emergency Department, Operating Suite, Day Surgery, Medical and Surgical Inpatient Units, a Women’s Ambulatory Care Unit comprising Birth Centre, Antenatal Clinic and Gynaecology Clinic, and a well-appointed rehabilitation unit.

Northern NSW is a diverse region spanning from the jacaranda city of Grafton in the south, to the golden beaches of Tweed Heads in the north. The district is located on the traditional lands of the Bundjalung, Githabul, Gumbaynggirr and Yaegl nations.

The Tweed Valley is a subtropical oasis encompassing the rugged terrain of Wollumbin National Park, arty riverside villages, historic coastal towns and the gateway to the Gold Coast. The Ballina and Byron Shires include some of Australia’s most famous surf breaks and holiday destinations, while the hinterland is rich with vibrant communities and mouth-watering local produce.
