About the Role

The Director of Medical Services (DMS) reports to and supports the Executive Director of Medical Services (EDMS), Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) in the provision of specialised leadership and medical administration support and strategic management of medical services across the Fraser Coast.

About You

You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key attributes. Within the context of the responsibilities described above, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
• Demonstrated medical leadership including a values based approach
• Up to date medical knowledge and experience
• Demonstrated ability to participate in staff education
• Demonstrated high level of communication and interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated commitment to participation in quality assurance programs
• An understanding of, agreement with and commitment to upholding the mission, vision and values of
WBHHS and Queensland Health and their application to this position
• Knowledge of contemporary Human Resource Management issues including Workplace Health and
Safety issues
