About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to shape the medical profession and medical workforce in WA. You will provide strategic advice to executive leaders on matters concerning the medical profession including clinical, training and workforce issues. This will involve applying your knowledge and expertise to inform relevant policies, new procedures, technologies and improve models of care for the delivery of health care in Western Australia.
You will also be relied on to work with stakeholders to assist the recruitment and employment of key clinicians. In this role, you will deputise for the Chief Medical Officer as required and act as second in charge.
About You
We are seeking a proven strategic leader, who will work alongside the Chief Medical Officer, to direct the provision of expert professional and clinical medical services in WA. You will have a contemporary understanding of the operational and strategic management issues impacting the medical workforce to drive initiatives that utilise technology, shape policy and embrace change. In this regard, you will have demonstrated skill in steering and implementing organisational change.
This will be supported by your collaborative leadership skills to represent WA Health on state and national committees, and relevant user groups. If you are committed to progressing opportunities and providing high level advice to address systemwide clinical matters this may be the role for you.
