Bairnsdale Regional Health Service (BRHS) invites applications from suitably experienced, qualified and driven Medical Administrators to lead the delivery of high-quality services within the BRHS Medical Services Directorate and be part of our committed Executive leadership team. About the Role
The Executive of Medical Services (EMS) will fulfil the role of EMS for the sub-region of East Gippsland and provide leadership and clinical governance to BRHS, Omeo District Health Service and Orbost Regional Health Service. While the role is directly responsible to the CEO of BRHS for overall performance, the incumbent will work with the CEO’s and Board of each health service in accordance with agency service agreements.
As a key member of the Executive team the EMS will contribute to the alignment and achievement of strategic objectives contained in the current BRHS Strategic Plan. This will be achieved via the delivery of the annual business plan objectives and other activities as required. In this position you will play a pivotal role in sub-regional service and medical workforce planning to enhance service provision for the population of East Gippsland.
About You
- Registered Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia with at least 5 year’s relevant clinical experience in an Australian Health Service
- At least 3 years’ relevant senior management experience
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of the Medical Administrators (RACMA) or Associate or a post-graduate qualification in Business Administration or Management or working towards the same.
- Strategic thinker with the proven ability to align services and planning with organisational strategic direction.
- Preferable; previous Deputy or Director of Medical Services experience.
