About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior medical practitioner to contribute to the delivery of safety and quality care initiatives to improve patient outcomes and staff experience. You will support the development of strategies and project plans aimed at promoting robust governance, systems and assurance. In this role, you will also provide high level strategic, expert and risk management advice on safety and quality issues to executive leaders and relevant committees, at both a state and national level.
You will deputise for the Executive Director as required and act as second in charge. The part-time role also offers flexibility to continue clinical practice or other interests including other similar roles within the Department of Health or research.

You will understand the operational challenges of managing a clinical workforce and think differently about how to respond to opportunities that arise to meet future needs.
