The newly updated 2020-2021 RACMA CPD Handbook, launched in September 2020, outlines the requirements for Continuing Professional Development of RACMA Fellows and Associate Fellows in accordance with the Australian Medical Council (AMC) standards and the professional performance frameworks of the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) and the Medical Board of Australia (MBA).
CPD supports the elements of self-reflection, professional development, peer review (reviewing and reflecting on practice), audit (measuring and improving outcomes) and continuous medical education (educational activities). Further detailed information on compliance requirements can be found on page 7 of the Handbook.
There are differing CPD requirements for Australian and New Zealand members. A summary of mandatory and optional CPD activities can be found through the below tiles.
