The Service Group Medical Director will be a practicing clinician and will retain responsibility for managing a clinical case load within their speciality, the size of which will be negotiated with the Service Group Director and Executive Director of Medical Services upon commencement. They will hold specific responsibilities for medical workforce planning, management and development, education, training and research and clinical experience and leadership development.
The medical director will take a leadership role in modelling the THHS values and fostering a culture that is inclusive, collegial and aligns strategy and ambition with the THHS Clinical Service Plan. Provide advice and guidance around emerging trends, information technology, electronic medical records, contemporary practice and potential issues that may impact upon the immediate and future provision of medical services.
