QLD/NT Continuing Professional Development Coordinator
The Queensland and Northern Territory Jurisdictional Committee is looking for a Continuing Professional Development Coordinator. The appointed Continuing Professional Development Coordinator will also sit on the Continuing Professional Development Program Committee.
The role of a Continuing Professional Development Coordinator on the Jurisdictional Committee is to:
- Contribute to a supportive environment to enable Fellows and Associate Fellows to maintain and develop their professional education and skills.
- Be an ex-officio member of their Jurisdictional Committee and to report to the committee on CEPC meetings and engage with members on CPD matters.
- Monitor, on at least a yearly basis, the CPD activities of all Fellows and Associate Fellows in their jurisdiction.
- Counsel and assist Fellows and Associate Fellows, within their jurisdiction, who are having difficulty in achieving college mandated requirements for CPD.
- Support new members to engage in jurisdictional CPD programs.
- Report to the Chair of the CEPC on the progress of Fellows and Associate Fellows, within their jurisdiction, in achieving college mandated CPD requirements.

- The QLD/NT Jurisdictional Committee meets monthly on third Thursdays, between 5:30–6:30pm.
- The Continuing Professional Development Program Committee meets monthly, then bimonthly on Wednesdays, alternating between 12:00–1:00pm and 5:00–6:00pm each month.

As RACMA continues to evolve under our Leading Future Health strategy, jurisdictional committees play a vital role in implementing our strategic direction across Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. Through local engagement and leadership, our committees connect our national strategic goals with on-the-ground impact.
The Queensland & Northern Territory Jurisdictional Committee has vacancies due to changes in membership. The Committee is seeking Expressions of Interest for general committee membership from Fellows and Associate Fellows across the whole health care continuum, including those working in private practice or defence health sectors, as we aim to build a committee with diverse representation across Queensland and the Northern Territory’s health landscape.

Jurisdictional committees are essential to RACMA’s mission of building leadership capability across diverse settings and specialties. Your involvement helps ensure that the breadth of clinical and leadership expertise across Queensland and the Northern Territory informs and enriches our work.
Committee members work to:
- Devote adequate time and attention to preparing for and attending committee meetings
- Identify local issues for consideration and advocacy
- Participate in, promote and facilitate local education and training activities and events
- Periodically develop work programs in consultation with the Board and Executive
- Actively monitor the performance and delivery of committee activities.
