The Honorary Fellowship is presented to individuals in recognition of outstanding achievement and contributions to the community consistent with the objects of RACMA. The presentation of the Honorary Fellowship is for distinguished individuals who contribute to the advancement of knowledge, or the betterment of society by advancing the role of medical administration well beyond the normal expectations in health services leadership and management, and in doing so have achieved eminence in their field at local, state, national or international level.
2.1 Constitution S.5.3, stipulates that a medical practitioner will satisfy the following criteria:

3.1 The College Office will seek nominations annually from College Fellows and is considered by the Board.
3.2 The Board will vote on nominations by secret ballot. Any person nominated for the Honorary Fellowship shall not be consulted by the Board in relation to any particulars relating to their nomination, nor at any time prior to the Board’s decision.
3.3 Nominations are to be strictly confidential by all persons concerned and should not be made knowledge to the nominee. Nominators will be notified individually of the outcome of their nominations.
3.4 The Board will advise all nominators of the outcome.
3.5 The President will notify the nominee to confirm their willingness to receive the award and discuss the investiture process.
3.6 Nominations rejected by the Board may be reconsidered if proposed and seconded at a subsequent Board meeting.
3.7 The Honorary Fellowship will be presented to the recipient at the conferment ceremony in the year in which the nomination is approved by the Board and the President has the responsibility for ensuring an appropriate celebration takes place.
To be eligible for nomination of Honorary Fellow, the following criteria must be met:
5.1 The presentation of the RACMA Honorary Fellowship does not equate to election to Fellowship, nor does it provide eligibility to be placed on the Australian or New Zealand specialist register as a Medical Administrator.
