The Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) is a specialist medical college with the objective of influencing health systems management and educating medical practitioners in the specialty of medical administration. The College has Candidates and Fellows throughout Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and other overseas posts.

About the Role

The Fellowship Training Program (FTP) Services Officer will liaise daily with Candidates and College Faculty across Australia and New Zealand. The role will process and coordinate the Fellowship Training Program (FTP) training and assessment requirements and provide support to the portfolios of the Education and Training Program Manager and the Assessment and Administration Manager. The role is responsible for the administration of RACMA Candidacy applications and other assessment submissions, monitoring and ensuring that Candidates meet the eligibility requirements for the Oral Exam and election to Fellowship.

The role is an important one in the governance process and one that monitors compliance of Candidates with the Fellowship Training Program. The role is at the fore-front of customer service and candidacy inquiries and provides support to the Managers in the Education and Training portfolio. 

The nature, diversity and scope of these responsibilities require excellent communication, attention to detail and excellent administrative skills. The person in the role must possess a good level of maturity, understanding of adult education and/or training environment, who is responsible and self-motivated, self-directed, energetic and has a professional approach when dealing with both internal and external stakeholders of the College.

Typical Duties

  • Processing applications for Training and Membership

  • Recording and Monitoring Progress in the Training Programs

  • Supporting the Managers in the Assessment processes and assessment related activities such as the College Examinations

  • Undertaking relevant audits and reviews and assist with the provision of required information for reporting, progression and accreditation purposes

  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders in relation to the Fellowship Training Program

This position is full time and ongoing.
