Applications for Recognition of Prior Learning and Experience (RPLE)

Applications for RPLE must be received by RACMA no later than 14 days after applying for the RACMA Fellowship Training Program.

Before completing an RPLE application, review the Recognition of Prior Learning and Experience Policy and ensure that you meet the eligibility criteria for the level of RPLE you are applying for.

RPLE Applications for Masters level study

  • Complete the relevant sections of the RPLE for Masters level study application form 
  • Provide supporting documents as evidence that the Masters level study you have completed is comparable to the RACMA core subjects
  • Each supporting document must be a clearly named file using the format of ‘[Last name_Subject number_Document name]’
  • Referee reports are not required for this level of RPLE
  • Applications will be considered once all documents and the RPLE – Masters level study application fee has been received

RPLE Applications at Senior Medical Leadership and Management (SMLM) level

  • Complete the relevant sections of the RPLE at Senior Medical Leadership and Management (SMLM) level application form
  • Provide supporting documents as evidence of your achievement of competency for one or more of the 15 Foundation Skill Sets
  • Each supporting document must be a clearly named file using the format of ‘[Last name_Skill set number_Document name]’
  • Provide the name and contact details of a referee for each Foundation Skill Set for which you are applying for RPLE
  • Advise the referees that you have provided their details to RACMA and that they will be asked by RACMA to complete a referee report for each Foundation Skill Set
  • Applications will be considered once all documents, referee reports and the RPLE – Senior Medical Leadership and Management application fee has been received

All completed RPLE applications and supporting documents should be submitted by email to ftpapplications@racma.edu.au.

Please note that applicants may be requested to provide additional evidence and/or attend an interview regarding their RPLE application.
