Director of Medical Services at new specialist public health facility!
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Director of Medical Services to lead the Medical Administration team of the Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS).  STARS is a new greenfield hospital in development as part of Metro North Hospital and Health Service – one of Australia’s largest health services – located in Brisbane’s inner north.

STARS will be operated by MNHHS and is being delivered by Australian Unity as part of the Herston Quarter – a five-hectare redevelopment site adjacent to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH). This new 182-bed, digital facility for MNHHS is due to open in 2021.
STARS is a state-of-the-art and custom built facility being delivered to provide a range of new and expanded healthcare services to meet demand and increase patient access to specialist rehabilitation services, elective surgical and endoscopy procedural services.  It will comprise 100 Specialist rehabilitation beds and special purpose rehabilitation support areas, seven operating theatres, three endoscopy procedure rooms, inpatient, specialty outpatient and treatment areas.

Your Opportunity

• Open a new `green-site’ facility in inner city Brisbane, delivering comprehensive specialist administrative support and direction to the team.
• Opportunity to contribute to the Medical Administration team within MNHHS – one of the largest Medical Administration teams in Australia to promote ongoing improvement in clinical practice to ensure high quality service delivery within a Digital Hospital.
• Facilitate collaboration and effective communication between stakeholders and liaise with medical schools, universities, specialty colleges and professional bodies to build networks that facilitate education and training opportunities for medical staff.
• Collaboratively lead the safety and quality agenda for STARS ensuring the effective and safe delivery of clinical services within the facility.
