Schedule of activities

As a guide, a schedule of activities is outlined below to assist Supervisors to manage their time commitments with their Candidate(s). 

Prior to the commencement

Familiarisation with the RACMA MEDICAL LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT CURRICULUM.

Upon commencement

  1. Agree with your Candidate on frequency of meetings (e.g. weekly, fortnightly, monthly).
  2. Schedule meetings with your Candidate in respective calendars.
  3. Meet with the JCT to schedule meetings to discuss Candidate progress.

Ongoing

Throughout the period of training, facilitate access to workplace experiential training, as suggested in the RACMA Curriculum, and relevant to the Candidate’s ATP. Make observations and provide feedback.

 Calendar of events

JanuaryAssist the Candidate to develop and document their Annual Training Plan.
FebruaryCandidates sit trial exams.
MarchLiaise with the Candidate’s Preceptor to monitor Candidate requirements and progress, discuss concerns, etc. 
JuneComplete In Training Performance Report with the Candidate.

Confirm Candidate’s time in supervised Medical Administration Practice.

Liaise with the Candidate’s Preceptor to monitor Candidate requirements and progress, discuss concerns, etc.
AugustCandidates sit oral exam.
SeptemberLiaise with the Candidate’s Preceptor to monitor candidate requirements and progress, discuss concerns, etc.
NovemberReview and Complete In Training Performance Report with the Candidate.

Confirm Candidate’s time in supervised Medical Administration Practice.
DecemberSupport Candidate through their exams.  Oral exams will usually be in August of each year. Trial exams scheduled for February.
