The RSL allowance is provided to support the candidate and assist in meeting those additional costs which may be incurred in rural areas. Eligible expenses include relocation costs, accommodation costs, travel costs to attend courses / meetings / conferences, and other training resources.
The funded health setting is required to reimburse or directly pay for eligible trainee expenses, and claim these expenses back from RACMA via the RSL claim form. For claim forms click HERE.
RSL funding should be used as additional support on top of any other professional development packages for which the candidate may be eligible.
The aim of the IRTP Supervision Support Allowance is to support delivery of the Specialist Training Program (STP) in rural settings.
