The program will run for a period of sixteen weeks, participants will meet fortnightly for a four to six hour session. Alternate weeks will require four to six hours of self-directed learning. There are a total of eight sessions and an additional introduction session.

Cohorts 1 – 4  are scheduled between 3rd March and 26th June 2021

Cohorts 5 – 6 are scheduled between 5th August and 27th November 2021

The current entry criteria are:

  • a minimum of three years direct patient care;
  • current medical registration in Australia or New Zealand; and
  • be in good standing with your employer and other medical speciality colleges.

No, you do not need to hold any class of RACMA membership to apply for the Leadership for Clinicians Program.

No, applicants are welcome to apply to any cohort.

Participants from New Zealand will have contextualised versions of the two sessions: Understanding and Thriving in the Healthcare System and Workforce Management.

Applications will remain open until the maximum number of participants is reached.

The total fee for the 2021 Leadership for Clinicians Program is $7,950.00 ($AU).

The fee is payable in two instalments:

  1. Instalment 1: $1950.00 ($AU)- invoiced on registration
  2. Instalment 2: $6,000.00 ($AU)- invoiced approximately 4 to 6 weeks prior to the program commencement

All fees are charged in Australian dollars ($AU) and are payable by the due date as specified in the notice to pay (invoice).

The 2021 Leadership for Clinicians Program is delivered over 16 weeks.

Successful completion of the Leadership for Clinicians program is a RACMA Board approved pathway to apply to elect to Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.

Associate Fellows of RACMA can use the post nominals ‘AFRACMA’ is accordance with the policy Membership signature blocks and post nominals.

The Leadership for Clinicians Program is open to all Clinicians who meet the entry criteria.

Participants who are unable to attend a scheduled session are advised to contact the College.
