The decision to run the 2022 Leadership for Clinicians program both as a blended model and a fully online program was made by the RACMA Board due to the potential ongoing impacts of COVID-19. We plan to proceed with a blended model, including some face-to-face sessions but also have fully online programs for those who cannot, or do not wish to, commit to travel in 2022.

The program will run for a period of four months, participants will attend eight sessions as follows:

Blended delivery: Two days of face-to-face sessions at the beginning and end of the program, four online sessions between the face-to-face sessions.

Online Delivery: interactive Zoom sessions every two weeks.

Cohorts 1 – 4 are scheduled between 18 February and 23 June 2022

Cohorts 5 – 8 are scheduled between 5 August and 1 December 2022

Each topic involves a scheduled face to face or online zoom session of between 4-8 hours duration and as a guide, participants will spend between four to six hours on self-directed learning in between sessions.

The current entry criteria are:

  • a minimum of three years direct patient care,
  • current medical registration in Australia or New Zealand, and
  • be in good standing with your employer and other medical specialty colleges

No, you do not need to hold any class of RACMA membership to apply for the Leadership for Clinicians Program.

Applicants may prefer to attend a blended delivery program in their jurisdiction but are not restricted from attending programs in other jurisdictions. An applicant may apply to any face to face or online program.

Applicants from New Zealand will have a program contextualised to the New Zealand Healthcare System. They will be given priority to attend the New Zealand based program but may also apply to attend any other program.

Applications will remain open until the maximum number of participants is reached.

The total fee for the 2022 Leadership for Clinicians Program is as follows:

  • Blended Program – AU$9,750.00

Fully Online Program – AU$7,950.00

All fees are charged in Australian dollars ($AU) and are payable by the due date as specified in the notice to pay (invoice).

The 2022 Leadership for Clinicians Program is delivered over four months.

Successful completion of the Leadership for Clinicians program is a RACMA Board approved pathway to apply to elect to Associate Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators.

Associate Fellows of RACMA can use the post nominals ‘AFRACMA’ is accordance with the policy ‘Membership signature blocks and post nominals’.

The Leadership for Clinicians Program is open to all Clinicians who meet the entry criteria.

Participants who are unable to attend a scheduled session are advised to contact the College.

Yes, missed sessions can be completed up to 12 months from program commencement.

The College will monitor the ability of all participants to attend scheduled face-to-face sessions, if necessary, an online session may be offered.

No, you will need to pay the fees for the program you have been accepted into.
