Candidates are required to complete an approved university Masters’ Degree in Health Discipline to provide the theoretical underpinning to the experiential components of the Fellowship Training Program in medical administration. It is not a requirement to have this Masters’ degree completed before commencing as a Candidate. The study may be undertaken and completed during candidacy.
Credit can be sought for the completed relevant previous studies in full or in part.

Announcement – 2023 – Changes to Masters Requirements
Candidates commencing in the Fellowship Training Program from 2025:
- will not need to complete a full Masters degree to meet the requirements of the Fellowship Training Program
- only need to complete approved Masters level study in the five (5) specified core subjects
At their own discretion current Candidates may still choose to complete a full Masters degree, however this will not be a requirement of the Fellowship Training Program.
Current Candidates and those commencing in 2024 may choose to opt in to these new requirements by completing only the five core subjects from one of the approved Masters Programs listed on the RACMA website. To opt into the new requirements please complete and submit this FORM.
