Please be aware that the MyRACMA system will be unavailable on Tuesday 2nd April at 07:00 (AEDT) as we will be performing scheduled maintenance. We anticipate a downtime of 30 minutes.

The sixth annual Leaders in Healthcare conference, 8-11 November, will feature an online panel session with some of RACMA’s key leaders.

The session, which starts at 9.30pm AEDT on 11 November, will discuss The post Pandemic medical workforce- a new future? Lessons learnt from Australia and New Zealand. Facilitated by RACMA Chief Executive Melanie Saba, the panel includes:

  • Dr Helen Parsons CSC
  • Professor Erwin Loh
  • Professor Alan Sandford AM
  • Dr Debbie Holdsworth

Hosted by the UK’s Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (FMLM) and the BMJ, the theme is Lead the Change: a reset for healthcare, which will explore the healthcare leadership needed for the residual and post-pandemic world. Key topics of discussion include:

  • How can we build fairer systems to tackle structural inequalities in healthcare access and outcomes?
  • How do we tackle racism in healthcare?
  • How can we support the wellbeing and recovery of our health and care workforce post-Covid?
  • What does good system leadership look like, and how do we build better integrated care?
  • How do we tackle the backlog of non-urgent care that has built up over the course of the pandemic?

The four UK chief medical officers – Professor Chris Whitty, Dr Gregor Smith, Dr Frank Atherton and Sir Michael McBride – will share their reflections on leadership throughout the past 18-months of the Covid-19 pandemic, as well as the challenges still to come.

Explore the four-day programme and register your place for the online event. To support continuous professional development, access to all on-demand and recorded content will be available to registered delegates for a further six months after the event. For more information visit www.leadersinhealthcare.com
