Subject to Clause 6.3 - 6.7 and Clause 9.3 of the RACMA Constitution the Board will prescribe annual training fees that are payable by all Candidates in the Fellowship Training Program and Trainees in the Leadership for Clinicians Training Program (AFRACMA Membership eligibility).
Training Fees for Candidates will be based on the academic year training calendar.
All training fees are payable within 30 days and before the training event is attended e.g. workshops, assessment tasks, compulsory National Trial Examination and the Pre-Fellowship Examination.
The Board prescribes Candidate training fees during the annual budget process and for components of the Fellowship Training Program. These fees are payable by all Candidates and will be paid before the date of the training event in the annual training calendar. Fees outstanding for any requirement will result in withholding of results until fees are paid and/or may preclude participation in subsequent training events.
Candidates who are experiencing financial hardship may apply to the College for financial special consideration. Fees may be allowed to be paid in instalments with an agreed schedule of payment.
All training fees and the Candidate member subscription will be paid by a Candidate, prior to admission to the final oral examination.
All fees are calculated excluding GST and where applicable GST is added to the base fee. Payment is required in $A.
The Training Enrolment fee is a once off fee paid at commencement of candidacy.
The Election to Fellowship fee covers the cost of graduation (Langford Oration). The balance of the annual subscription fee for a Candidate moving to Full Fellow is calculated on pro rata basis.
The Candidate Deferred Training Fee is paid by all candidates when they defer commencement of Candidacy following acceptance into the Fellowship Training Program. (Note: When a Candidate takes leave from the Fellowship Training Program during their training period they do not incur a leave fee as they pay their Membership subscription fee)
Candidates may elect to pay bundled Annual Training Fees on the dates specified on the Tax invoice. Election to pay by instalment must be made by the payment due date on the invoice, and is a commitment to pay all instalments on or by the instalment date.
The College may refuse the instalment payment plan to Candidates with a prior history of failing to pay instalments by the due date. Candidates will be advised in writing that they are not eligible to pay by instalment prior to invoices being issued.
All workshops, the National Trial Exam and Pre-Fellowship Oral Examination fees must be paid in full before attendance at the event is accepted.
Failure to pay the whole or any part of the training fees to the College within 45 days of invoicing may result in a 5% late fee being applied.
The Board may send by registered post to any Candidate at the last address appearing in the records of the College, letters requiring payment of the amount due to the College.
Training fees for Trainees will be based on program commencement and scheduling dates. These fees are payable before the date of the training event. Fees outstanding for any requirement will result will likely preclude participation in subsequent training events. Trainees who are experiencing financial hardship may apply to the College for financial consideration and fees may be allowed to be paid in instalments with an agreed schedule of payment.
Any Member has a right to appeal against a decision of the Board about payment of overdue annual subscriptions or training fees.
The Board may review training fees, and may, at its absolute discretion, vary these fees.
