Please be aware that the MyRACMA system will be unavailable on Tuesday 2nd April at 07:00 (AEDT) as we will be performing scheduled maintenance. We anticipate a downtime of 30 minutes.

As a College built on leading the way, RACMA strives to set an example of quality leadership, management and initiative for the entire Australasian healthcare industry. As such we are proud that more than half of the College’s Board comprises women, the majority of our Jurisdictional Co-ordinators of Training are women, the Jurisdictional Committees each have a strong female presence and our Chief Executive is a woman.

In celebrating International Women’s Day today, 8 March, it is important we highlight and commend the key contributions, achievements and ongoing critical role our female leaders play to ensure the highest standards of healthcare across Australasia.

The International Women’s Day 2021 campaign theme is theme is #ChooseToChallenge – a challenged world is an alert world. In the spirit of this year’s theme some of our College’s leaders and Members share their challenge they have chosen.

RACMA Dean Dr Lynette Lee: “I choose to challenge discrimination in the health system against people with developmental intellectual disabilities.”

RACMA Policy and Advocacy Committee Chair Dr Helen Parsons CSC: “Empowerment of women creatives and leaders.”

RACMA Diversity Inclusion Working Group Chair Dr MaryAnn Ferreux: “To challenge and call out implicit bias and inequity.”

Let’s celebrate what we have achieved, reflect on the work yet to do and recognise the unique role RACMA Fellows and Members can play when we #ChooseToChallenge.
