About the role

Temporary full time opportunity to support the Chief Medical Officer and Director Medical Services who is the medical professional lead for all medical officers of Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH). This role also supports two Deputy Directors of Medical Services (DDMS’s).

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health’s values:

  • Provide professional, strategic and operational leadership within RBWH.
  • Model positive leadership behaviours, promote professional competence and accountability.
  • Assist with management of counter-disaster plans, counter-disaster incidents, business continuity and clinical incidents.
  • Provide support to Directors and Executive Directors in the management of medical staff especially in the area of wellbeing, fatigue, recruitment, retention, good roster management, succession planning and underperformance.
