About The Role
The Opportunity
We are pleased to offer is two Medical Administration Registrar opportunities at GV Health.
- STP 3251 – commencing on 2 Feb 2026, full-time, fixed-term contact to 7 Feb 2027.
- STP 3263 – commencing immediately, full-time, fixed-term contract to 1 Feb 2026.
The Medical Administration Registrar will work with the EDMS & CMO and DMS to provide professional leadership and clinical guidance in relation to strategic and operational issues as required, with a particular focus on:
- Managing the medical staff with the organisation; and
- Assist units to participate in quality improvement programs; and
- Assist the CMO and DMS with policy, financial, quality and HR issues as required.
About You
What You’ll Bring
- Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health’s values:
- Provide effective strategic and operational leadership and management of medical services in the hospital to inform and influence the direction of the Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals and Woodford Corrections Health Service.
- Medical HR Issues – management of medical HR matters as delegated by the Director of Medical Services.
- Oversee processes that attract and retain the medical workforce: recruitment, appointment commencement, induction, credential and define scope of practice, and roster and to ensure that staff have a clear understanding of role accountabilities, governance systems and culture.
- Lead the development and monitoring of strategies to ensure continual compliance to Quality and Legislative Standards required to maintain the organisation’s accreditation status.
We are looking for
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a Medical Practitioner.
- A current RACMA trainee or application made to commence the RACMA Fellowship Training Program within first three months of appointment.
- Minimum of 3 years general clinical experience.
- Demonstrated interest in Medical Administration or Clinical Governance.
