About the Role

The Advanced Trainee in Medical Administration of Cabrini Health will work under the direction of the Group Director Medical Services and Clinical Governance, to facilitate the development and implementation of robust medical administrative systems at Cabrini Health, and develop expertise in matters related to medical administration.

This role will participate in the delivery of a comprehensive clinical governance/quality improvement program including clinical audit, risk management, and accreditation related activities. The role will also assist with patient complaints, incident management and medico-legal requests as well as developing/reviewing clinical policy and procedures. The Advanced Trainee will be expected to contribute to the ongoing education, research and quality assurance programme as directed by the Supervisor of Medical Oncology and contribute to a vibrant research program and participate in education within the framework of the Mission, Values, and Vision, and the Behaviours that Matter to Cabrini.

Essential Criteria:

  • Unconditional registration with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner
  • Registered as an Advance Trainee in RACMA Training
  • Accredited trainee positions as designated through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians
  • Be eligible for Work with Children Check
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a dynamic team
  • Good problem solving and decision making skill – Demonstrates ability to assess situations, consider possible solutions, make and communicate decisions and take the appropriate action.
