The Wesley Hospital are pleased to invite applications for the role of Medical Administration Registrar, joining their team in 12 Month Fixed Term Capacity.

About the Role:
You will work with the Director of Medical Services (DMS) on a broad range of activities, to develop skills in medical management and obtain experience and training in the private sector. You will also develop an understanding of strategic and operational management in the planning and management of medical services which enables the provision of quality, safe patient care.

In applying, you will be a Registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Medical Board and a Medical Administration Trainee Registrar with RACMA.  You’ll demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with a highly collaborative and consultative approach.

Further, you’ll demonstrate:

  • Participation in research activities or data driven approaches to quality improvements
  • Well-developed negotiation and liaison skills with ability to adapt communication style as required, confidently negotiating outcomes
  • Effective organisational skills, including ability to meet competing priorities and deadlines
  • Evidence based decision making skills based on sound principles and practices
  • Ability to assist in the development of systems that promote standardisation, integrity of data collection, applicability to quality framework, and regulatory or compliance requirements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of patient care.

This opportunity can be offered as a Part time or Full Time role, depending on the preference of the successful applicant. This position is funded for a 12 months fixed term appointment.
