The Role
Reporting to the Executive Director, Academic and Medical Services / Chief Medical Officer, you will lead the strategic development and management of Epworth’s medical services in partnership with the operating divisions.
Some of your specific responsibilities concern:
- Senior medical workforce- planning, management and engagement
- Medical Education and Research
- Medical By-laws- implementation and review
- VMO Medical appointments system (scope of practice, credentialing)- management and review
- Medical on call rosters management
- Divisional Medical Director engagement and support
- Supervision and teaching of Medical Administration Registrar(s)
- Assist Chief Medical Officer with-
- Clinical outcomes and analytics- implementation and review
- Significant clinical incident review and management
- Medical complaints, reviews, AHPRA liaison, medico legal support
- Clinical Governance and Risk Management- service enhancements and practice change
- Medical education and research
- Epworth- strategic and business planning support
You will also be required to perform deputizing responsibilities for the Executive Director, Academic and Medical Services / Chief Medical Officer, and undertake other tasks relevant to advancing the Academic and Medical Portfolio.
Skills & Experience
