An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic, challenging and fun Hospital and Health Service in far North Queensland.

The North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS) is looking for an Executive Director of Medical and Clinical Services (EDMCS) to join our team, based in Mount Isa.

The role is a challenging, interesting and diverse one; with clinical leadership and change management opportunities for medical leaders looking to make a difference and impact upon healthcare for patients in some of the most challenging areas in Australia.

Wide open spaces and panoramic views; the NWHHS covers a total population of around 36,000 people living in a geographical area spanning 300,000 km2!

We have a number of critical industrial facilities in the region and a patient cohort that represents some of the challenges and casemix diversities that clinicians may not have encountered in previous roles.

This will be a fast-paced, complex and active role where you can make a difference every day; collaborating with the Executive Management Team to develop strategic direction for the region.

The ideal candidate will be a dynamic, experienced medical leader who is looking for a change in direction, an opportunity to enhance existing skills and who is not afraid to ‘roll up their sleeves’.

Generous remuneration package available (L18-L27) with an attraction and retention allowance of 50% of base annual salary, a rural and regional allowance of 15% of base annual salary, an inaccessibility allowance of up to $35,714 per annum, and a medical managers allowance up to $57,102 per annum (level dependent upon qualifications, skills and experience).
