NMHS is WA’s largest metropolitan health service – with a budget of more than $2.16B, nearly 9000 staff, three tertiary hospitals, two secondary hospitals, servicing a population of more than 700,000.

NMHS provides a comprehensive range of adult specialist medical, surgical, mental health and obstetric services in WA, delivered across 3 tertiary hospitals and 2 secondary hospitals, all fully accredited. NMHS oversees the provision of contracted public health care from Joondalup Health Campus operated under a public–private partnership.

A range of statewide, highly specialised multidisciplinary services is offered from several NMHS hospital and clinic sites.

About the Role

Seeking an exceptional and committed leader with a track record of delivering results and working in highly complex stakeholder environments to take on this newly created key role. This role will suit a leader who can thrive in a constantly changing environment driven by achieving outcomes in the context of billion-dollar project management in a tertiary health setting. You will be a passionate leader who inspires your team to excel.

As a member of the North Executive Team you will report to the Chief Executive and be responsible for proving strategic and operational leadership in the redevelopment and commissioning of the Women’s and Newborn’s and Graylands’ Hospitals.

Assisted by the Chief Executive you will provide exceptional and rigorous project oversight leading the transition of clinical, non-clinical, infrastructure, workforce, corporate and ICT elements across both projects to ensure successfully delivery, including regular reporting through NMHS and the Department of Health.

• Demonstrable track record delivering and commissioning large-scale, complex health projects.
• Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills encompassing clinical, bureaucratic, commercial and political knowledge and networks.
• The leadership skills to inspire others to deliver results and to develop and grow as individuals.
• Demonstrated track record working alongside an Executive team playing a key role as a member of the broader NMHS agenda.
• Exceptional negotiation and influencing skills.
• A high level of personal integrity and the ability to champion and build NMHS values.
