District Director of Medical Services CCLHD
Based at Gosford, NSW Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) provides public health services to a growing population of 330,000 across this picturesque coastal region, located between Sydney and the Hunter Valley. It is one of the region’s largest employers with a workforce of nearly 8,000 staff based across two acute hospital sites, Gosford and Wyong; two sub-acute facilities, Long Jetty and Woy Woy: 10 community health centres and several community based health services.
CCLHD is headquartered in Gosford, 80km north of Sydney, and there has been significant recent investment across the district, including the recent major redevelopment of Gosford Hospital and ongoing redevelopment at Wyong Hospital.
Local decision making is at the forefront of how the organisation functions, led by a professional Health District Board, the Chief Executive, Dr Andrew Montague (MBBS, FRACGP, MHA, FRACMA), and his Executive Team.
We are looking to appoint an exceptional District Director Medical Services (DDMS). This person is a key member of the District Executive Team and will report directly to the CE. The DDMS will provide strategic and operational support and professional assistance to the Directors of Medical Services/Clinical Services, Clinical Directors, Medical Leaders and Department Heads in the delivery of world-class medical and clinical services across the District
Key responsibilities include:
We are seeking an experienced and influential leader who has successfully operated at the executive level and has a track record of driving change within a complex public health service.
The person will be a FRACMA (or on the pathway to achieving Fellowship) and able to demonstrate significant achievements across a broad spectrum of areas including: medical administration and workforce management, clinical operations, clinical governance and quality, and patient safety. The individual will demonstrate natural leadership abilities, strong supervisory skills and an affinity and passion for sharing their knowledge and skills with their team. We are seeking someone who is energetic, ambitious and looking for a career move which will allow them to grow and develop their experience and career further. The person must be an excellent communicator, coach and team player, whilst being flexible in their approach.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Staff Specialist (State) Award.
