This is an ideal role for a Medical Administrator who thrives in regional and rural public health service delivery. You will be supported by your hub Medical Workforce/HR team, established Heads of Department and the Executive Director Medical Services & Clinical Governance. In addition, you will enjoy collaboration with your colleague hub Directors of Medical Services and the District Director Medical Workforce.
Your portfolio includes Shoalhaven, Milton Ulladulla and David Berry Hospitals, all located on the picturesque South Coast of NSW. Shoalhaven Hospital is a busy acute care facility, providing medical, surgical and orthopaedic services to around 22,000 patients each year.
The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit that incorporates High Dependency and Coronary Care beds, a busy Obstetric Unit and a busy Emergency Department.
Milton Ulladulla Hospital is rural acute facility, providing emergency, general medical and minor surgical, antenatal and postnatal services, renal, palliative, ambulatory care and oncology outpatient’s services for the southern Shoalhaven. David Berry Hospital provides rehabilitation and slow stream medical care. It also provides specialist palliative care for the Shoalhaven Region.
Planning is underway for Shoalhaven Hospital to undergoing a full redevelopment and this will provide the Director Medical Services, an opportunity to contribute and be engaged in building design, and work with teams to develop future clinical care and workforce models, and ultimately be fully involved in commissioning. 
The Shoalhaven region is bordered by the mountains, coastal plains and over 100 magnificent beaches and this natural environment plays a central role in the quality of life of the local community.
Commute times are short. When you’re not at work, you can relax on some of the country’s best beaches, explore the stunning coastal rainforests and outdoor adventure activities or enjoy the local dining – all contributing to a perfect work-life balance. An easy two hour’s drive from Sydney or three hours from Canberra, home could be overlooking the Shoalhaven River, a village on Jervis Bay or a rural Kangaroo Valley property.
