Director of Medical Services – Mildura Base Hospital

JPS Medical Recruitment are working in conjunction with the Victorian State Government to recruit a Director of Medical Services for Mildura Base Hospital.

The Role

This is a unique opportunity to take over the position as the Director of Medical Services at this busy regional facility. You will take over the operational management and be responsible for the leadership and professional governance of all matters relating to the medical workforce. This is a full time permanent position reporting directly to the CEO.

The Hospital

This is a 165 bed (level 1) Tertiary Teaching Hospital that provides a range of Acute Services including Emergency, Maternity, Intensive Care, General Medicine and Surgery, Medical Imaging, Pathology, Dialysis, Mental Health, (The Mental Health Service has a 12 bed inpatient unit and provides extensive community based services) and a range of Ambulatory Services. The Hospital is affiliated with Universities for the provision of undergraduate and postgraduate Medical, Nursing and Allied Health education. Affiliations also exist for clinical placement and training.

The Requirements

To be eligible to apply for this position you should have previous experience as a DMS and ideally either hold the FRACMA or be working towards obtaining it.

The Offer

On offer is a lucrative package of between $300K to $400K per year depending on your experience and qualifications.
