About the Role

This role is responsible for organising, coordinating and evaluating the training, workplace learning experiences and performance of junior medical officers and promoting best practice in medical education within the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH).  A key responsibility of this role is to integrate the medical education program at RBWH with major organisational priorities.

  • Familiarity and practice with assessment and training of junior medical practitioners in their early postgraduate years, including performance feedback and management
  • Significant experience in medical education and training programs with a demonstrated understanding of adult learning principles
  • Demonstrated understanding of and high level ability to apply leadership principles for effective teamwork
  • Skills and understanding of medical education and training governance including policy framework, regulation standards, assessment process, performance feedback and management
  • Personal commitment to continuing medical education, research and understanding of best practice in education and practice-based learning
