Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is the largest regional health service between Sydney and Melbourne, located in the twin cities of Albury and Wodonga. The primary responsibility for our Director of Medical Workforce is leading, supporting and developing our specialist and vocational trainee level medical workforce, including the establishment of best practice education, training, mentoring and well-being systems for these staff. The position leads the Medical Workforce Unit and works directly with the relevant Divisional Medical Directors, Clinical Directors, and Directors/Supervisors of Training to undertake this primary responsibility.
As Director of Medical Workforce, you will also provide clinical and medical leadership expertise across AWH in relation to other relevant medical governance, clinical governance and clinical safety & quality matters as well as deputising for the Executive Director Medical Services as required.
You will be joining a small but enthusiastic and supportive team of RACMA fellows & associates as we manage relevant medical workforce, service development, governance and clinical quality matters across Albury Wodonga Health and our region.
You will be an energetic medical administrator with a demonstrated passion leading medical workforce including wellbeing challenges. You will have well developed clinical leadership skills, a relatable and engaging nature with enthusiasm for problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, big picture thinking and a sense of humour.
