Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is the largest regional health service between Sydney and Melbourne, located in the twin cities of Albury and Wodonga. The position of Director of Medical Services (Workforce) at Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is responsible for providing specialist medical administration services to AWH.
The primary responsibility for this position is the management, support and development of our specialist, vocational trainee and junior medical workforce, including the establishment of best practice education, training, mentoring and well-being systems for these staff. The position leads the Medical Workforce Unit and works directly with the relevant Divisional Medical Directors, Clinical Directors and Directors/Supervisors of Training to undertake this primary responsibility.
The position will also provide clinical and medical leadership expertise across AWH in relation to other relevant medical governance, clinical governance and clinical safety & quality matters as well as deputising for the Executive Director Medical Services as required.
You will be an energetic medical administrator with a demonstrated passion for junior medical workforce & wellbeing challenges. You will have a relatable and engaging nature with enthusiasm for problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, big picture thinking and a sense of humour.
Position will be renumerated following the Victorian Public Health Sector Medical Specialist Enterprise Agreement Classification Specialist year 1-9 (Dependant on Experience)
