About the Role

  • Reporting to the DMS STARS are the Director of Pharmacy, the Health Information Manager/Lead for STARS and the Director Safety and Quality.
  • The DMS STARS leads the STARS / Metro North Medical Credentialing and Scope of Clinical Practice Sub-Committee, supported by the Metro North Health credentialing secretariat as required.
  • The DMS STARS collaboratively leads the safety and quality agenda for STARS ensuring the effective and safe delivery of clinical services within the facility, including processes for the STARS Safety and Quality Committees including Mortality and Morbidity (M&M) Meetings.
  • The DMS STARS collaborates with Medical Workforce and Education Units across Metro North to coordinate senior and junior doctor appointments on behalf of STARS to deliver an effective and high-quality medical workforce.
  • The DMS STARS contributes as a member of the Metro North Health Medical Administration professional group and will contribute to after hours on call services across the health service.
