Albury Wodonga Health (AWH) is the largest regional health service between Sydney and Melbourne, located in the twin cities of Albury and Wodonga. Our dedicated team of nearly 3,000 staff supports a population of 250,000 people throughout North-East Victoria and Southern NSW. AWH is seeking a vibrant and dynamic medical leader to join our team in the provision of specialist medical administration services to the health service.
The Director Medical Services role includes responsibility for the management, support and development of our junior medical workforce, including the establishment of best practice education, training, mentoring and well-being systems. AWH aims to be an exemplar of regional healthcare – and recognises the critical need of resources and support for our critical medical workforce.
The role will also provide clinical and medical leadership expertise across AWH in relation to other medical workforce, GP Liaison and medical & clinical governance as well as deputizing for the Executive Director Medical Services. Existing and ongoing Medical Administration support is available through Executive Director Medical Services, Director of Medical Governance, Assistant Director of Medical Services, and Medical Administration Registrar.
You will be an energetic medical administrator with a demonstrated passion for junior medical workforce & wellbeing challenges. You will have a relatable and engaging nature with enthusiasm for problem solving, strong interpersonal skills, big picture thinking and a sense of humour.
