C-Suite Partners is exclusively partnering with St John of God Health Care for the appointment of their next Deputy Director of Medical Services at St John of God Murdoch Hospital.

St John of God Murdoch Hospital is one of Australia’s leading private hospitals of over 500 beds, providing a comprehensive range of secondary and tertiary health services. The Deputy Director of Medical Services will assist the current Director of Medical Services in the operational and administrative management of a highly regarded large scale hospital.

About the Role

The suitable candidate will be responsible for the medical leadership, clinical and medical workforce governance of the hospital in conjunction with the Director of Medical Services.

This role requires an exceptional practitioner who possesses a strong skill set in people leadership, clinical expertise, strong EQ and a significant focus on doctor relationship management. Ideally, you are a leader amongst your peers when it comes to medical education and training and overall have the desire to progress your career into an executive capacity with a leading hospital provider with an immaculate reputation.

About You

Background and Qualifications: 

  • Registered medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ACHS Accreditation
  • 5+ years experience as a registered medical practitioner
  • Postgraduate management or leadership qualification
  • A significant experience at the ‘leading edge’ of a recognised area of medical practice
  • Involvement in and commitment to medical education
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary health issues and policies
  • Attainment of or evidence of study toward a relevant postgraduate qualification applicable to health management would be an advantage but not a requirement (FRACMA/RACMA/5+ years registered clinical experience and business management qualifications)
  • Demonstrate a high level of emotional intelligence to foster and develop professional relationships
