About the role

This is a hybrid clinical/leadership position that would suit dual-qualified individuals seeking a portfolio career in Medical Administration and General Practice. This role supports the Director of Medical Services, Community and Oral Health (COH), who is the medical professional lead for all medical officers at COH.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health’s values:

  • Participate in the leadership of change across COH to align the medical profession with the vision and goals of our Health Service and provide support for the DMS as required.
  • Provide support to Clinical Directors in the management of medical staff especially in the area of wellbeing, fatigue, recruitment, retention, succession planning and positive performance management.
  • Coordinate and oversee the orientation and onboarding of medical officers newly recruited to COH and promote ongoing education activities for all COH medical officers.
  • Keep accurate digital and clinical records which meet the standards required by the Metro North Hospital Health Service, RACMA and/or clinical care standards.
