The Deputy Chief Medical Officer, is a key medical leadership role responsible for working closely with the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to provide professional leadership to medical staff, to realize Eastern Health’s vision of providing Great care, Every Time, in an environment of increasing demand.
This new role’s purpose is to assist the CMO to deliver medical professional governance across the entire CMO portfolio. Reporting to the CMO, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer will work in partnership with Eastern Health senior medical leaders, Medical Education and Workforce Unit, to ensure that medical and related services are provided in accordance with the Eastern Health Strategic Plan and consistent with the Eastern Health Quality and Business Plan. This includes the achievement of all performance targets within budget, provision of professional leadership and ensuring the provision of high-quality patient outcomes.
