Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) delivers public health services on behalf of the three districts in the Tāmaki Makaurau region. ARPHS as a public health unit delivers promotion, protection and screening programmes designed to improve the health and wellbeing of the populations of Tāmaki Makaurau in partnership with mana whenua, striving always to reduce health inequalities, we work across three domains: Excellence in Core Delivery, Leadership and Advocacy and Future Focused.
This opportunity is for an experienced public health physician to provide medical leadership and effective management to the medical team of our ARPHS. The essence of role is to provide organisation wide assurance, leadership, and professional governance for the medical professionals within the service.
You will also participate in the development of a long-term strategy for the service and to ensure service delivery plans are implemented in line with ARPHS strategy and goals and where relevant, regional or national goals.
