Chief Medical Officer – Melbourne region

About the role

Located across Werribee Mercy Hospital and Mercy Hospital for Women, Heidelberg, this is an exciting senior leadership opportunity for an appropriately qualified and experienced medical specialist. The Chief Medical Officer at Mercy Health is responsible for empowering people to deliver great care and experience, providing strategic and operational leadership in regards to the clinical governance of medical services across Mercy Health Services.

The CMO will be responsible for:

• Clinical leadership and governance of medical services across Mercy Health Services.
• Ownership of an operational portfolio to ensure the highest level of clinical standards are met.
• Working closely with other senior leaders in the provision of integrated and coordinated services and the delivery of key performance indicators.
• Providing professional support to medical and academic staff across Mercy Health Services.

About you

With proven senior clinical leadership experience and a passion for the health industry, the ideal candidate will also be able to demonstrate the following;

• Active Fellowship of a specialist college.
• Current AHPRA registration.
• Ability to promote and positively influence change whilst leading collaboratively.
• Effective and appropriate delegation and decision making.
• Demonstrated commitment to a culture of excellence and total quality services
