The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) is seeking an exceptional, driven and passionate individual with a track record of successful healthcare leadership and a reputation for building and supporting a dynamic, respectful organisational culture to take on the position of Chief Executive.
CAHS provides world-class public health services for the children of Western Australia including Neonatology, Community Health, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services and Perth Children’s Hospital.
Based in Perth, the successful candidate will be accountable for developing and the strategic plan to ensure the achievement of quality outcomes, financial performance, people and organisational sustainability measures, creating trust, transparency and building consensus to realise the CAHS vision of healthy kids and healthy communities.
An inclusive and collaborative leader, you are skilled in developing and leveraging partnerships across WA to deliver an integrated healthcare service offering for all Western Australian children.
The Chief Executive contributes to the overall strategic leadership of the WA health system through participation as a member the Health Executive Committee.
The CAHS Board are responsible for:
Contributing to and implementing state-wide plans for clinical services, workforce, infrastructure and other system enablers
The Chief Executive will also contribute to achieving WA health system outcomes, including the Sustainable Health Review (SHR). The SHR was undertaken to guide the direction of the WA health system to deliver patient-first innovative and financially sustainable care.
The SHR provides an ambitious blueprint for rebalancing the health system over the next 10 years to ensure that Western Australians receive quality health care that can be sustained for future generations.
The Chief Executive is employed by the Director General, Department of Health.
The Chief Executive reports to the Director General and the Child and Adolescent Health Service Board.
