As part of the Neuroscience and Rehabilitation leadership team, you will contribute to the achievement of key performance indicators, strategic and operational deliverables for the program. The Neuroscience and Rehabilitation service consists of Neurosurgery, Neurology and Stroke, General Rehabilitation, the SA Spinal Cord Injury Service, SA Brain Injury Rehabilitation Service and Care awaiting placement. You will provide medical leadership and governance for all clinical work within Neuroscience and Rehabilitation and contribute to service planning activities.

You will also be accountable for the medical leadership of Neuroscience and Rehabilitation within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). As the Medical Lead, you will be required to provide advice and liaise with all levels of management within government and non-government sectors on professional clinical matters. This will include professional and academic organisations, private sector groups, community organisations and community members. You may work across the Royal Adelaide Hospital, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, and Hampstead Rehabilitation Centre sites. Consultants, Clinical Academics and Visiting Medical Specialists are eligible to apply.

You will hold an appropriate specialist qualification for a Consultant and be registrable as a Specialist with the Medical Board of Australia. Demonstrating experience in a Senior Clinical leadership role, you will have contributed to the planning and provision of health services. You will also demonstrate an understanding of emerging directions within Neuroscience and Rehabilitation services, nationally and internationally. You will have proven leadership skills and an ability to motivate others. This will be evident in your ability to successfully lead professional groups to achieve best practice clinical outcomes.
