About the RACMA Conference

The College holds an Annual Scientific Meeting Conference which is usually held in one of the capital cities across Australia or New Zealand.

In 2010, RACMA entered into an agreement with the Hong Kong College of Community Medicine to co-host an Annual Scientific Meeting Conference every eight years.

An integral part of the RACMA Annual Conference is the Langford Oration, which was named in honour of the College’s Foundation President, the late Dr Sam Langford. It is delivered by a distinguished person on a topic of his or her choosing. At the conclusion of the Langford Oration, new Fellows and Associate Fellows are admitted to the College in a conferment ceremony and a special presentation is made to RACMA’S esteemed award winners.
