Dr Allison Turnock is the current Candidate Representative to the RACMA Board. A general practitioner by background, she is the current Medical Director, GP & Primary Care at the Department of Health in Tasmania, previously leading the Tasmanian Rural Generalist Pathway which is still within her current unit.
Prior to entering medical administration, Allison was heavily involved in medical education at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level, within Tasmania, Queensland and nationally. Allison is a graduate of the University of Tasmania School of Medicine and has a Masters of Public Health and Health Management from the University of New South Wales. She is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, has a Diploma of Children’s Health and is a Certified Health Informatician.
